How ordering from The Roaming Postman works, in plain words. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

    Who I am

The Roaming Postman is just me: one person, based in Spain, writing every card myself. Email me at theroamingpostman@gmail.com.

    What you’re buying

Each month I buy a postcard wherever I am in Europe, write it by hand and mail it. The design and the place are a surprise.

Prices include postage. Payments go through Stripe. If prices change, orders you’ve already paid for aren’t affected, and monthly subscribers get an email first.

    When and where I mail

    • Order by the 15th and your first card is next month’s. Order after the 15th and it’s the month after that.
    • Each card is mailed sometime during its month, by regular, untracked post. I can’t promise a delivery date.
    • By the end of the month after your card is mailed, I email you a photo of it.
    • I mail only to the countries listed at checkout. Post to India and the Philippines is slower, and cards are more likely to go missing.

    Your address

Please check your address carefully before you pay. It can’t be changed afterwards, and I can’t refund or replace cards sent to an address that was entered incorrectly.

    Cancelling

Monthly: you’re charged on the day you sign up, then on the same date each month until you cancel. Cancel anytime with “Manage my subscription” on the website. You won’t be charged again, and you’ll still get every card you’ve paid for. Prepaid plans end by themselves; I’ll email you before your last card in case you’d like to continue.

    Your right to withdraw

If you live in the EU, you can withdraw from your order within 14 days without giving a reason. To withdraw, email me with your name and order details.

    If a card doesn’t arrive

    • If a card hasn’t arrived 6 weeks after I emailed you that it’s in the post, email me and choose a refund or a replacement. Replacements are mailed from wherever I am at the time.
    • On a prepaid plan, one card is worth the price divided by the number of cards (for example, €50 ÷ 6 = €8.33).
    • I’ll replace cards to the same address up to two times. If a card goes missing after that, the post clearly isn’t a reliable way for me to reach you, so I’ll stop mailing there. I’ll email you, cancel any monthly subscription, and refund the missing card plus every card not yet mailed. I may decline future orders to that address.

    Postmark collecting

    • Each card has a short code. Enter it on the website to collect a postmark and earn €0.50 credit: off your next payment on the monthly plan, or as a discount code for your next order otherwise. Six postmarks earn a bonus reward, described on the website.
    • Each code counts once, if it’s entered within 2 months of the card being mailed. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred. I may withhold credits if codes are misused. I may change or end the program, but credits you’ve already earned will be honoured.

    The small print

    • I’ll email you when your card has been mailed, so you know to look out for it over the next few weeks. Once a card is in the post, how long it takes and whether it arrives are outside my control. My responsibility for a card is limited to the refund or replacement above. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
    • I use your details only for your order. See the privacy notice.
    • I may update these terms. Changes don’t affect orders you’ve already paid for, and monthly subscribers get an email first.
