What I collect, why, and what you can do about it. It covers customers, the waiting list and postmark collectors.

    Who is responsible

I run The Roaming Postman on my own, from Spain, and I’m responsible for your information. Email me at theroamingpostman@gmail.com.

    What I collect and why

    • When you order: your name, email, billing and postal address, and when you confirmed the address. I use them to take payment, mail your cards and contact you about your order. Card details go straight to Stripe; I never see them.
    • Waiting list: your email and the country you’d like cards sent to, so I can tell you when I start mailing there.
    • Postmark collecting: your name, email and the code from your card, to confirm it arrived and give you your credit.
    • Card photos: I photograph each card to email it to you, with your address covered. Only part of your name shows, so you know it’s yours.

Legal basis: our agreement (orders and postmarks), tax and accounting law (order records), and your consent (waiting list, which you can leave anytime).

    What I don’t do

    • I don’t sell or rent your information.
    • I don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve said yes to them separately.
    • This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking.

    Who else handles it

Stripe (payments and subscriptions), Vercel (website hosting), Tally (waiting list and postmark forms) and Google (Gmail, for email). Stripe also uses some data for its own purposes, such as fraud prevention. Some of these companies are in the United States; transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

    How long I keep it

    • Order and payment records: as long as Spanish tax and accounting law requires.
    • Postal addresses: until your order ends, then deleted (except where they’re part of those records).
    • Waiting list: until I’ve told you I mail to your country, or you ask to be removed.
    • Postmark details: while you’re collecting, then deleted.
    • Card photos: only until I’ve emailed them to you and dealt with any card that didn’t arrive.

    Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, to limit how I use it, or object to it. Email me and I’ll reply within a month. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live, or in Spain (the AEPD). If I change this notice in a big way, I’ll email customers.
